About the Course
Annual appraisal systems are increasingly seen as too slow and disconnected from real work to drive performance, prompting a shift toward continuous, feedback-rich performance management supported by clearer goal-setting frameworks and, increasingly, AI-assisted analytics.
This programme builds practical people-performance management capability distinct from organizational performance frameworks such as the Balanced Scorecard: goal-setting using OKRs and SMART objectives, continuous feedback practice, performance-conversation skills, and using performance data and AI-assisted analytics to identify development needs and manage underperformance fairly.
Participants leave with a redesigned performance-management cycle for their team and a practised performance-conversation framework, ready to implement a more continuous, development-focused approach to managing people performance.
Target Participants
Line managers and supervisors, Human resource professionals, Team leaders responsible for appraisals, Middle and senior managers, and Performance and talent management officers.
What You Will Learn
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

- Design a continuous performance-feedback cycle.
- Conduct effective performance conversations, including difficult ones.
- Use performance data and analytics to identify development needs.
- Manage underperformance fairly and legally.
- Link individual performance management to organizational strategy.
