About the Course
The Humanitarian-Development-Peace (HDP) Nexus Training equips professionals with the knowledge and tools to integrate humanitarian response, development initiatives, and peacebuilding efforts into cohesive and sustainable interventions. In todayās complex environments, crises often overlap with conflict, climate change, displacement, and social inequalities, making it essential to coordinate responses across multiple sectors.
This course emphasizes practical skills, conflict-sensitive programming, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. Participants will explore strategies for building community resilience, fostering inclusive governance, and aligning interventions with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through case studies, simulations, and interactive exercises, participants will learn how to design, implement, and evaluate programs that balance immediate humanitarian needs with long-term development and peace objectives.
Target Participants
This training is designed for professionals responsible for designing, managing, financing, or evaluating Humanitarian and Disaster Preparedness initiatives. It is ideal for staff working within government disaster management agencies, humanitarian organizations, international NGOs, development partners, and donor-funded programs. The course is also suitable for project officers, emergency response coordinators, resilience specialists, program managers, community development practitioners, and operations teams supporting preparedness, early warning, or recovery interventions.
