About the Course
Organizations need an objective way to determine whether their data-governance capabilities are defined, consistently implemented and producing reliable results. Informal maturity judgements can produce inflated scores, inconsistent conclusions and improvement plans that are disconnected from evidence, risk and available resources.
This course develops practical capability in designing and conducting a data-governance maturity assessment. It covers assessment scope, capability domains, maturity levels, evidence requirements, interview and document-review methods, scoring, assessor calibration, gap analysis, challenge procedures, investment prioritization and reassessment planning. Participants will examine established maturity concepts while adapting the assessment structure to organizational context.
Participants will assess a case organization using an evidence-based maturity instrument. They will calibrate scores with other assessors, defend findings before a challenge panel and prepare a costed improvement roadmap that links priority capability gaps to actions, owners, resources and reassessment dates.
Target Participants
This course is designed for data-governance managers, data stewards, data-quality professionals, internal auditors, risk and compliance officers, enterprise architects, digital-transformation professionals, programme managers and consultants responsible for assessing governance capability or planning institutional improvement.
