About the Course
Enterprise data-governance programmes must coordinate strategic priorities, regulatory obligations, business ownership, data architecture, quality controls and technology across multiple departments and systems. Many programmes establish councils and policies but fail to define enforceable decision rights, connect governance with operational controls or sustain implementation beyond the initial launch.
This advanced course develops the competence required to design and implement an enterprise-wide data-governance framework. It covers governance strategy, scope, architecture, operating models, stewardship, policies, metadata, data quality, master data, risk, controls, technology enablement, change management, assurance and investment planning. Relevant principles from DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, COBIT and ISO/IEC 38505 are examined without positioning the programme as certification preparation.
Participants will work through two staged enterprise cases and develop an integrated governance framework for a selected organization. The resulting package will include a governance strategy, operating model, decision-rights matrix, policy architecture, control framework, issue-escalation process, performance dashboard, investment case and phased implementation roadmap.
Target Participants
This course is designed for chief data officers, senior data managers, enterprise architects, information management leaders, governance and compliance professionals, IT managers, data-quality managers, risk and audit professionals, digital-transformation leaders and consultants responsible for designing or strengthening enterprise data-governance programmes. Participants should possess foundation knowledge of data governance or relevant professional experience.
