About the Course
Events can generate visibility, stakeholder engagement and memorable brand experiences, but publicity success depends on more than event logistics. PR teams must define the communication objective, build pre-event attention, coordinate media and creator engagement, manage on-site content, capture stakeholder experiences and sustain post-event momentum.
This course focuses specifically on the publicity and communication dimensions of events, distinguishing it from protocol and event-management programmes. Participants learn event positioning, audience strategy, publicity planning, media engagement, experiential design, content capture, live issue response, partner integration and post-event measurement.
Participants will develop a complete event publicity and activation plan for a selected event. Outputs include a publicity timeline, media toolkit, experiential touchpoint map, live-content plan, risk checklist and post-event evaluation dashboard.
Target Participants
Public relations officers, event communication teams, corporate affairs staff, marketing communication professionals, brand teams, media officers, partnership managers, conference organizers and professionals responsible for promoting institutional events.
