About the Course
NGOs and development organizations communicate in environments where credibility depends on accountability to communities, donors, governments, partners and the public. PR must support programme visibility and stakeholder trust without overstating impact, exploiting beneficiaries or allowing fundraising messages to undermine dignity and evidence.
This specialist course adapts public relations practice to development and nonprofit contexts. It covers organizational positioning, donor and partner communication, programme storytelling, community voice, evidence use, media relations, advocacy interfaces, safeguarding, visibility requirements and reputation management.
Participants will develop a PR framework for a programme or organization, including stakeholder priorities, evidence-based messages, ethical storytelling standards, media and partner plans, content governance and practical indicators for reporting communication performance.
Target Participants
NGO communication officers, development programme staff, donor-funded project communication teams, public information officers, partnership managers, programme managers, advocacy staff, grant communication personnel and nonprofit leaders.
