About the Course
Pension institutions operate within detailed legal and supervisory frameworks designed to protect members’ retirement assets. Compliance failures can lead to penalties, reputational damage, regulatory intervention and, more importantly, weakened member protection. Compliance therefore needs to be embedded into governance, investment, administration, reporting and service-provider oversight rather than treated as a periodic filing exercise.
This course equips participants to build a structured pension compliance programme. It covers regulatory architecture, licensing, trustee obligations, investment restrictions, contribution requirements, benefits, disclosures, regulatory returns, inspections and compliance monitoring. Because pension rules differ across jurisdictions, the programme is deliberately designed around transferable compliance principles and can then be customized to the relevant pension law, regulator, reporting templates and supervisory expectations of the client country.
Rather than treating compliance as a periodic reporting exercise, the course promotes an embedded compliance culture supported by clear responsibilities, monitoring routines, evidence and escalation mechanisms. Participants will learn how to translate regulatory requirements into operational controls and board assurance, while the programme can be contextualized to the pension legislation, supervisory guidance and reporting requirements applicable in the client’s jurisdiction.
Target Participants
Pension compliance officers, trustees, fund managers, scheme administrators, legal officers, risk officers, internal auditors, finance teams, HR pension specialists and regulators.
